Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp water
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together shortening and sugars.
  • And egg.
  • Mix in the vanilla and water.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir the flour mixture into the sugar mixture.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 min.
  • Let cookies cool for 5 min, and move them to wire racks to finish cooling.
  • Makes 12 cookies.
